Referral Partner’s Agreement

  • The attached document will be provided upon contact with new potential partners.  We hope, after experiencing and learning about the NELCDC’s efforts to foster lasting relationships to help facilitate community and economic development through the establishment of homeownership in north and east Lubbock, lenders, realtors, and other professions in the home-buying business will become an NELCDC partner!
  • The NELCDC Referral Partners list is available to the public!  As a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, NELCDC is required to provide at least three (3) referral to all mortgage-ready cilents.  As a result, NELCDC provides the latest referral partners list to all prospective first-time homebuyers and encourges clients, or any community member seeking to learn more about the homebuying process, to call all NELCDC referral partners!
  • In addition to referral partners being an invaluable resource, NELCDC requests all referral partners participate in teaching one of the NELCDC's monthly financial literacy and homebuyer education workshops.  Education is the most significant contribution provided by referral partners!  Additionally, helping NELCDC counselors teach a monthly workshop is an excellent opportunity for mortgage professionals to connect with the community and help many first-time homebuyers overcome the fear of the home-buying process!  Monthly, NELCDC staff will call members of the referral partners program to invite a partner to help teach Unit-4 "Obtaining a Mortgage"!  The monthly workshops are scheduled from 9am-4pm.  Most partners are asked to arrive around 2pm, which is the approximate time Unit-4 "Obtaining a Mortgage" is scheduled to begin.  This small educational contribution makes a tremendous impact!  If you are interested in giving back to the community, contact the NELCDC to learn how to become an NELCDC referral partner.  Questions?  Please contact the NELCDC at (806) 747-5937
